Smatr-AI is a tool developed for browsers to ease the task of information retrieval from textual data sources using Generative Pretrained Transformer (GPT) and Language Model (LLM) technology. It’s primarily used to summarize large paragraphs of text and find targeted answers quickly, thus saving users’ time. The tool is designed to be simple and efficient, avoiding an overload of information. It can be accessed through both the Chrome and Firefox web browsers. The usage of Smatr-AI involves two options. Option 1 permits the user to click on an icon next to any paragraph, subsequently replacing the paragraph content with a more compact summary. Option 2 enables users to manually select text, right-click it, and then choose ‘Summarize Text’ from the context menu. Additional features include posing a question to the tool to aid in retrieving information from a page.One of Smatr-AI’s founding principles is data privacy, with an assurance given that no data is retained or sold, making it a privacy-conscious choice for users.
